Building A Private Retreat In Monte Sereno
Monte Sereno is one of the South Bay’s smallest and most private communities, a residential city of winding roads, generous lots, and mature oaks tucked against the Santa Cruz Mountains foothills. There is no busy commercial district here, just quiet streets and homes that sit comfortably in their surroundings. Since 2020, Decor Builders Inc. has helped Monte Sereno homeowners build new, add space, and renovate with a process that stays clear from start to finish. A dedicated Project Manager handles every detail, so you can focus on watching your vision take shape. Custom Home Building
Building a new home in Monte Sereno starts with the land. Larger lots, sloped terrain, and mature trees all shape what is possible, and Decor Builders plans around each of them. We guide you through every phase of custom home building, from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. We coordinate design, permitting, and construction, so your new home suits its setting and the way your family lives.
Custom Home Design & Build
Many Monte Sereno homeowners want a home that feels private, comfortable, and connected to the outdoors. Our design-build team brings architects, designers, and builders together from day one, so your floor plan, materials, and finishes all support one vision. We listen first, refine the details with you, and then build exactly what we designed. Keeping both teams under one roof means clearer communication and a smoother process.
Custom ADU Build
With the room that many Monte Sereno properties offer, an accessory dwelling unit can fit in beautifully. Create a guest cottage, a private suite for family, a quiet home office or studio, or a rental unit that supports your household. Decor Builders manages the design, permitting, and construction of your custom ADU, and we help you work through California’s ADU regulations so the process stays simple.
Home Additions
Monte Sereno families often love the setting of their home and want to make it work better. A home addition can give you a second story, a new primary suite, an extra bedroom, or a bright room that opens to the yard. We design additions that respect the character of your existing home, so the new space blends in and feels like it was always part of the house.
Full Home Renovations
Many Monte Sereno homes have wonderful lots and solid structure, with interiors that no longer match how families live today. Decor Builders manages full home renovations from start to finish, opening up floor plans, updating electrical and plumbing, and refreshing finishes while keeping what you love about your home. Your Project Manager keeps every phase organized, so home remodeling feels manageable from the first meeting to the final coat of paint.
Kitchen Remodeling
In a Monte Sereno home, the kitchen is often where daily life and entertaining meet. Decor Builders designs kitchen remodels that pair good looks with everyday function, including quality cabinetry, durable countertops, smart storage, and layouts made for cooking and gathering. We guide you through each selection so the finished kitchen feels cohesive and personal.
Bathroom Remodeling
A well-designed bathroom improves your daily routine. At Decor Builders, we take care of everything from layout and plumbing to tile, fixtures, and lighting. We help you choose high-quality materials that hold up over time, then complete the project professionally and efficiently.
Landscape Design & Build
Monte Sereno’s larger lots and mature trees give landscapes a lot to work with. Decor Builders designs and installs landscapes that suit your property, from layered garden beds and shaded seating areas to water-wise plantings that thrive through dry summers. We create outdoor spaces that feel like a natural extension of your home.
Hardscape Design & Build
On sloped Monte Sereno properties, hardscape does real work. Retaining walls, stone steps, walkways, and terraced patios create usable level space and give your yard structure. Decor Builders crafts hardscape elements with lasting materials and careful attention to detail, so your outdoor areas look polished and hold up for years.
Outdoor Kitchens
Privacy and space make outdoor entertaining a natural fit in Monte Sereno. Picture a built-in grill, generous counter space, and a dining area surrounded by trees and open air. Decor Builders designs and builds outdoor kitchens made for easy weeknight dinners and weekend gatherings with friends and family.
Pools & Spas
A custom pool or spa can turn a Monte Sereno backyard into a private retreat. Decor Builders handles pool and spa installation from design through permitting and construction, fitting the layout to your yard, its slope, and your lifestyle. Whether you want a place for family swims or a quiet spa to end the day, we build it with care and attention to safety.
Patios, Decks & Pergolas
The right outdoor structure extends your living space, and on a wooded or sloped lot it can open up spaces you did not know you had. Our team handles patio building, deck building, and pergola building for Monte Sereno homes, creating spots for morning coffee, evening dinners, and weekend get-togethers. Each one is designed to complement your home and built to last through years of use.
